Since 1903 this land has been cultivated by the Cassel Family.  Brothers, Craig and Chris are the fifth generation to harvest the bounty of this fertile land.  As stewards of the land we take pride in growing the highest quality grapes and hand crafting them into unique local wines.Cassel Vineyards is located just two miles west of Hersheypark off Route 39 on Shetland Drive. The vineyards and winery are part of the 135 acre Cassel family farm. This farm has been in the Cassel family for five generations and operating since 1903. The five acre vineyard includes six varieties of grapes: Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Concord, and Niagara.  It is managed and operated by Cassel brothers, Craig and Chris and their wives, Becky and Jody.

Cassel Vineyards was established in 2008 and licensed in 2009 to sell their first vintage.  Since the original planting, each decision regarding, time, money and labor has been deliberated and written about in the Cassel Vineyard of Hershey Blog 2010-2015.  If you are interested in seeing how the vineyard was established, we invite you to click here and read about our first 6 years.

The vineyard is just one facet of the Cassel farm. It is also home of Cassel Brookside Stables, which is owned and managed by Cleon S. Cassel and his wife Dottie.   The 6th generation of Cassel’s has also begun their venture in agriculture by working in the vineyard and showing fancy breeds of poultry and rabbits at the Pennsylvania Farm Show where they have won numerous titles.

There are many unique sights to see on the Cassel farm; free roaming peacocks and guineas, a picturesque vineyard, along with mares and foals grazing on the hillside.  Stop by to sit on the deck and enjoy the peace and quiet while you share a bottle of wine with a friend.  We look forward to meeting you and sharing our little corner of the world.
