The vineyard looks beautiful, and the winery is a hive of activity at this time of year. Today was our last day of picking and as always we ended with a delicious meal of fresh, roasted venison and lots of apple cider and Chambourcin wine. The weather cooperated just enough to allow us to get all the picking done by 11:15 which was quite an accomplishment considering we picked about 6 tons of grapes. We can't thank the picking crew enough! It consisted of about 50 people who endured the wind and falling temperatures to finish our picking. We are so fortunate to have such good friends.
