Wine Auction for Charity - Fri. June 28 at the Vineyard

Cassel Vineyards is proud to hold a special wine auction during our Sat. Concert Series, on Fri. June 28.  A selection of rare, wines from the Cassel Vineyard cellar will be silent auctioned to raise money for a friend in need.  The wine’s are a profile of the Cassel Vineyard’s history from some of our first wine’s, through our first and most important awards and achievements, to the present.  Below are some little-known facts about each or the bottles.  We hope you can come out and place your bid and take home a little of Cassel Vineyards History.

Fri., June 28 - Reece Kelley Foundation - Wine Auction 5 Rare Cassel Vineyards wines- Proceeds will be earmarked for Cheri Kelley Patterson

2014 Cabernet Franc Rose’ - this was the first vintage of Cabernet Franc ever made at Cassel Vineyards

2013 Winner’s Circle Red - this was the first vintage of Winner’s Circle Red ever made at Cassel Vineyards. Although all of this wine has been sold, The WCR should be perfectly aged as we have seen our Cabernet Franc 2013 and Chambourcin 2013 develop into outstanding wines.  This blend should be a great bottle to open on a special occasion.

2010 Chocolate Ruby Royale - Not only was this the first Vintage of our Chocolate Port, it was also our first Gold Medal Winner at the PA Farm Show. This Choc. Port has aged to perfection and is as smooth as chocolate velvet.

2009 Chambourcin - This was the first Chambourcin Vintage ever made at Cassel Vineyards.  It will be exciting to see how well this Chambourcin has aged after 10 years.  Pretty exciting stuff!

2013 Blush - Cassel Vineyards first Double Gold and Best of Show winner at the PA Farm Show.  This bottle of blush is the last known bottle to exist and wants to be enjoyed one last time!

The WCR should be perfectly aged as we have seen our Cabernet Franc 2013 and Chambourcin 2013 develop into outstanding wines.  This blend should be a great bottle to open on a special occasion.
